The Park aims to become the first in Chengdu that features the culture of automobile industry. The site condition of the Dragon Lake features mountainous landscape with great height difference. How to adapt to the topography and reshape the elevations of the field in an appropriate way become the key to our masterplan. We lift up the water level by 6 meters, and it naturally forms the lake over the original river. By enlarging the water coverage, we accentuate the lake visually and include more opportunities for design, yet at the same time reduce the groundwork for the project.

The park of Dragon Lake are designed for exercise and automobile exploration, and is divided into two parts- the urban oxygen zone in the north and the automobile culture experience zone in the south. Inspired by the story of the soaring dragon around the mountain, the park is designed to be dynamic and full of energy. A series of small-scale architectures are designed in an interactive way with the landscape and celebrate the views of lake. Among them include an automobile club, a cultural center, a restaurant, a bridge, and an observation deck. People are able to enjoy diverse outdoor activities while gaining knowledge of the automobile industry.
