The challenge of the project is how to integrate two distinctive programs - the bus terminal and the exhibition hall- into a single building with coherency. We envision a bold and dynamic roofscape to connect the programs. It is the metaphoric expression of the landscape and sets out an extensive and tolerant quality. The undulating roof not only unifies the space underneath, but also introduces natural light through its polygonal openings and in this way defining the two atriums for the two major programs. The roof is accessible and accommodates activities as well. People are able to walk and relax on the roof, and appreciate the surrounding landscape in the town.
